BEWARE of TrackMaster treadmills
#1
A word of caution to all ISP's - The "NEW" TrackMaster does NOT have any knowledge of thier product line (NEW or OLD). They don't know which parts go into the units and they don't have the experience to figure it out.

You may not know me or my backgound so I don't expect you to take my word at face value. So call them yourself at 866.487.2256, ask them a simple question like "which spade lugs do the drive motor leads connect to on the inverter?" (that may not be a fair question - you see my tech had to explain to them that "YES THE DRIVE MOTOR DOES CONNECT to the inverter, that is the function of the inverter to supply power to the drive motor).

I have added TrackMaster to my "WE DON"T SERVICE THAT" list. I don't easily add companies to that list, as I pride myself on being able to fix most things! HOWEVER TrackMaster has joined an elite group of companies (do these ring any bells) Pacer (Bolinger), DP/Roadmaster, AJAY, Universal (Cardio), CYBEX (Pre-Trotter), XYSTOS, Everyoung. Please notice that this list, contains companies that just simply do not provide customer support or a stable supply of repair parts.

I am writing this post as a service to ISP's to give you all fair warning that if you deal with TrackMaster you may get burned, either by getting stuck with expensive parts ($600.00-dealer, in my case) or bad customer relations (with your customer). If you need an example read the TrackMaster treadmill repair thread (that customer has been down for a month now, I have had techs out there 4 times, at no charge to the customer - as of the time I'm making this post - and there is no indication that we will get the unit up in the near future) I DON'T LIKE DOING BUSINESS LIKE THAT!!!!

If your a potential TrackMaster customer reading this post BEWARE you my find you are unable to get reliable repairs or repair parts in 3 years (maybe less). Please note for anyone that has not dealt TrackMaster lately, this is NOT the company you purchased from last year!!! The company had been sold and relocated from Texas to Kansas and then finally to Ohio. I did not know this until we had the problem noted in the repair thread.

Sorry for the long post - I don't put this kind of thing in here lightly, I 'm not just upset about a single situation - I DO BELIEVE I may help some of you avoid problems - I am not just venting. SOOOOOO take it for what it's worth ignore me if you choose. BUT I WARNED YOU!!!

These are valid points that we all should watch out for, and use caution about which equipment we will recommend.

Here's one....I ordered parts from The "new" trackmaster three weeks via a phone conversation. I followed up with an email and no response from them. Upon checking, they claimed they had no record of the order. Hmm, I think we have a problem here.
