True exercise bike 600R seat back shock
#1
I have just acquired a True 600R, and discovered the seat back shock is without air or oil. Now I see that several people on this forum have the same problem and cannot find the part which I believe is 10001616 from True. On the cylinder it is marked MDI #2MA. I will continue looking after I call True on Monday to find out why it's not available, but in the mean time I've figured out a temporary fix so I can use the bike. I removed the rubber shroud for access, and simply put 3 clothes pins around the cylinder shaft between the two washers to keep the seat upright. It seems to work and of course you can use only two clothes pins if you want the back further away for you own height and comfort. I hope I've explained it well, if not give me a message and I'll try again. If someone can find the part, that would certainly be better.

Any luck? I have same issue. I need to get some clothespins.
