Update:
I contacted a local Fitness equipment repair company, and they indicated that any reed switch should work. The only thing that should need to be done is to splice it into the wire that I currently have attached to my main unit. I am not sure on the link posting policy on this forum, but they suggested the following to places to look for parts:
