I am looking for a part for my Vision Fitness T9700 HRT treadmill. Hopefully you can help. It is the center keypad membrane that controls the Start, Stop, Select, and both sets of Arrows. Could you shoot me a photo of the control faceplate so I can see if it matches mine?

hmmmm....that's the part the I'm having trouble with as well --so I don't think you want mine. I've been working on it for several days and I've been in touch with the manufacturer.

I thought they were going to give me some suggestions but they've basically said they don't recommend me trying to fix that switch and buy a new console.

Here's my symptoms -- I'm curious if they are close to yours. The treadmill will speed up to 12 mph for no reason...I can use the spped down button to get it to go down but it goes right back up. The funny thing is if I use the "user profile membrane switch" on the center membrane pins, everything works fine (although the buttons don't match up obviously). So that makes me suspect the center membrane. I've put a voltmeter on it and it looks ok to me except i'm wonder about the ground.

With the center membrane plugged in, it's a little unpredictable. Also, my console had some rust on it -- so I'm wondering if that screwed up the center membrane...is yours rusty by any chance. both motors are good and I think the boards are as well --

let's compare notes -- this is a 2002-2003 t9700hrt -- I'll send post a picture tomorrow of it. But bottom line, you don't want my center membrane switch as I'm repainting the ground on it (as a shot in the dark answer).
