Hello,

I have been troubleshooting my elliptical for some time now. The resistance "scales" move up and down on the board but nothing happens (no resistance increase). I have checked and cleaned the ground wire, checked all wires for continuity (no broken wires in the neck). Replaced the resistance motor and have the correct AC adapter 6v, 2 amp. still nothing....I have only used this machine about 10 times and I did buy it new......anyone have an idea on how to reset this thing? or reset code or someting?

I am not aware of any reset code or anything like that for this machine. It sounds like it may be a display console issue, since you have already replaced the resistance motor. Try iconservice.com. They can help troubleshoot.

After many books and phone calls, I have found that the resistance motor is the wrong part number, I did buy this new and have no idea how a different motor got into the unit. It must have been a friday afternoon assembley. I just took the PN from my machine and ordered it not really thinking into it...after research I ordered a new, maybe the correct motor from ICON yesterday.
