Reebok Bodytrec Elliptical (CCS)flickers&Beeps on power - prasadvk - 10-28-2006

Reebok Bodytrec(CCS) unit flickers and beeps when turned on .
when a program is chosen, the display program flickers continuously and beeps. I have to power it off to restart and the same thing happens again.
Looking for some service tips or repair of control/power boards or service in Massachusetts area.

I think it's time to start looking for a display console ... if you can find one.

We have one for the Body Trec II.

The model I Have is Body trec not bodytrec II.
The console looks ok as the sound ( beeps) are coming from control board.
The console locks up frequently most of the times and started beeping only recently.
After disconnecting for few days, it started working again.
Any idea what is going on..

Sounds to me like you may have either a lower OR upper board issue.
The unit's lower board has an optical sensor mounted on the lower board that could be malfunctioning. I have both upper and lower boards for this model.
