I just bought a used NB 1000 exercise bike. I cannot get it to change levels. it is locked on level 5

If you try to change the resistance level, is there a beeping from the display every time you make a selection? My first suggestion would be to reset all connections. To make it easy on you, start at the console. Then retest it. If the problem is still there, you will need to remove shrouding and reset all connections there. It could be that the generator/brake has a problem. Reset connections and retest. If problem remains, come back here and post. You can call me if you want.
