hi,
I'm trying to repair my wife's proform 630 ds treadmill. It will operate for about 10 minutes. But then it begins to smell like something is burning or melting. I took the cover to the motor off. The motor feels hot to the touch. I suspect the motor bearings are worn out which is probably why it will run for a few minutes.

Is there a way to test the motor? maybe use a voltmeter and see what the voltage drop is after it heats up?

The motor is almost 200. I'd like to make sure it is that before I buy one.
