Bio: My name is Michael Brown, and I started Brown Fitness Services in 2006, and I’ve been working in the fitness industry for over 16 years. When I got out of college in the mid 1990's I found something that I really enjoyed, was really good at ( and unfortunately) had nothing to do with what I went to school for!

I have worked in many sub-genres of the fitness industry, retail sales, commercial sales, web based sales, personal training...but I found my biggest success in the service and repairs of the equipment. While some did not like to get their hands dirty or felt being a repair tech was not as dignifying as a equipment sales rep, I felt it very rewarding to solve a problem and provide a much needed and sought after service for people.

When I branched out on my own in 2006, The Gym Guru moniker just seemed to fit with my background in the industry with my various experience with being service tech for so long as well as having background in the other areas of the fitness industry.

Business is good and we are growing despite a bad economy. And I did build that!
